Job Description
The Photo Studio Manukau is looking for a confident, people‑focused team member to join us as a Part‑Time Assistant Photographer & Sales Person. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of creative work and customer interaction, and who feels comfortable guiding clients through premium product options such as frames, canvas prints, 3D crystals, personalised gifts and full photography packages.
What You’ll Do
Assist the lead photographer during portrait sessions
Help clients feel relaxed, confident and prepared for their shoot
Capture supporting images when required (training provided)
Guide clients through their viewing and selection process
Upsell packages and premium products including frames, canvas, albums, 3D crystals and personalised gifts
Provide warm, professional customer service from start to finish
Support the studio team with general duties and presentation
What We’re Looking For
Experience in photography or strong interest in learning studio photography
Confidence in sales, upselling and product recommendations
A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
Ability to build rapport quickly and make clients feel comfortable
Professional presentation and reliability
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Weekend availability (essential)
