About the Role
We are a small and growing accounting firm based in Sydney, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to return to the workforce, or take on flexible additional hours. We are open to shaping the position around the right candidate, with flexibility around hours and responsibilities based on experience and availability.
You will work remotely, managing your own workflow while delivering high-quality accounting support across a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
Balance sheet reconciliations
Profit & Loss analysis
Maintenance of fixed asset registers, including reconciliations and depreciation
Processing general journals and accruals
Preparation of financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and SMSF
Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and SMSF
Preparation of SMSF audit workpapers and notes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A degree qualification in Accounting
2–3+ years’ experience within a public practice
Strong experience in reconciliations and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Experience using Xero, MYOB, BGL and/or MYOB AO (Accounting Office)
The ability to work independently and manage your own workflow
Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management skills
A proactive and reliable approach with the ability to multi-task effectively

15-20 hours per week, 3-5 days, any weekdays (school hours preferred)
Fully remote / work-from-home position
