About the Role
This is an exciting part-time opportunity for an organised and motivated professional with experience in administration, accounting practice, or mortgage broking support.
A key feature of this position is its strong connection to mortgage lending. Candidates with mortgage broking experience, broking administration experience, or exposure to loan processing and client support will be highly regarded. You will have the opportunity to support mortgage broking activities through our sister business while also assisting with accounting and administration tasks.
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than a standard admin position — it offers the chance to learn, grow, and develop valuable skills in mortgage broking, client service, and professional practice support. Training will be provided, and there will be opportunities to expand your responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across the accounting and mortgage broking functions
Assist with mortgage broking administration, loan processing support, client follow-up, and document management
Liaise with clients and assist in gathering information and documents for mortgage and accounting matters
Complete basic bookkeeping, and account reconciliations
Liaise with external parties including lenders, the ATO, ASIC, and ABR
Assist with preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and related documents for individuals, companies, and trusts
Provide ad hoc support to the Director
Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed efficiently and within deadlines
Skills and Experience
Mortgage broking experience, mortgage administration experience, or exposure to loan processing/client support will be highly regarded
1–2 years’ experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, administration, or professional practice environment preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field preferred
Experience with Xero is an advantage, although training will be provided
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Willingness to learn and grow professionally
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking
Strong communication and organisational skills
