Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant
Full job description
We’re a growing startup seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. As our first finance hire, you'll play a key role in establishing sound financial practices, ensuring compliance, and supporting our leadership with accurate financial insights.
**This is part time role with 15-20hrs per week**
Responsibilities
Handle daily bookkeeping: record transactions, manage AP/AR, and maintain general ledger
Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
Prepare financial reports: profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Support payroll processing and contractor payments
Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with external CPA or tax advisors
Maintain financial documentation and support audit/tax readiness
Recommend and implement financial process improvements
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
Proficiency with QuickBooks (Online preferred), Excel/Google Sheets
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience working with startups or small businesses (preferred)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus)
