Class 1 Night Driver

We are now seeking a Class 1 Night Driver to join us at our Grange Park, Northampton depot on a part-time basis, working on an annualised hours contract. This is a permanent position but offers a 12 month rolling contract and the flexibility of working fewer hours, averaging around 20 hours, based on two days per week.
This role would suit someone who can offer the flexibility of working any two days out of the Monday to Friday calendar but is able to work more hours if necessary. The start time for this role is between 23:00 and 03:00.

The Role
As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will complete palletised deliveries from our Northampton distribution centre located in Grange Park.
Ensuring the designated routes are adhered to, you’ll undertake route checks for safety restrictions, planned road works and traffic to ensure your journey will be smooth and efficient.
You will also maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles and ensure all documents are signed and completed.
Please note, this role does not involve manual handling, but we may ask occasionally to assist in helping with unloading goods where necessary.
About You
To be considered as a Class 1 Night Driver, you will need:
• A full, valid driving LGV Class 1 licence with driving experience
• A maximum of six points on your licence
• A CPC Driver qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
