Overview
Wanderstay Boutique Hotel is a 10 room boutique hotel located in Houston's East End. We’re looking for energetic, positive individuals with a can-do attitude who want to make a difference. At Wanderstay, your skills and dedication are valued and rewarded.
Pay: $15/hour
Shift Hours: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Position: Housekeeping (20-25 hours/week) Part-Time Hours
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Housekeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean and welcoming environments. Prior experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, or residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
Maintain floor care through mopping, sweeping, and carpet cleaning as needed
Clean common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and guest rooms, including walls, floors, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
Follow established cleaning protocols to meet health and safety standards
Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens or clothing
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
Prepare guest rooms, including bed making and furniture cleaning.
Requirements
Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, hospitality, or custodial services is a plus but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
