Part-Time In-House Mechanic (Flexible Hours)
Carma Car Hire – Tullamarine, VIC
Carma Car Hire is a growing car rental business operating a diverse fleet of vehicles hired through the Turo platform. We are looking for a reliable, experienced mechanic to join us on a part-time, in-house basis to help maintain and service our fleet.
This role replaces an existing mechanic we’ve had a great working relationship with, so we’re looking for someone dependable, practical, and happy with an ongoing weekly arrangement.
Hours & Flexibility
One full day per week (approx. 8 hours)
OR
2–3 evenings per week
We’re flexible on how this is structured, as long as we achieve roughly a full day’s work per week
Pay
$35–$50 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Routine servicing and maintenance of fleet vehicles
Minor mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
Identifying upcoming maintenance requirements
Ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and ready for hire
Communicating clearly with Business Manager about work required and completed
About You
Qualified and experienced mechanic
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Comfortable working evenings if required
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Experience working with multiple vehicle makes/models is a plus
