Finance Project Manager

CGS is seeking an experienced Finance Project Manager to provide oversight of financial and procurement services for a large Federal agency initiative.

Skills and attributes for success:

• The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing processing workflows ( in the Office of Financial and Procurement Services).

• Performs and oversees financial / procurements services.

• The Project Manager will have frequent contact with the Government Case Managers, and other DOJ agency staff

• Ensure processes and procedures are followed.

• Overseeing a small team of financial analysts

• Performs an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time.

• Trains staff on entering and updating data in proprietary databases.

Qualifications:

• At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience in financial systems.

• Must have proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.

• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time‐critical support activities simultaneously.

• Requires expert knowledge of Finance Systems including SAS; outstanding writing skills; excellent oral communication skills; and excellent management skills.

• Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment in which the work is to be performed, including office automation networks, PC‐based databases and other applications, and internet and server‐based databases and other applications.

• Must be a US Citizen

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.

• Must have an undergraduate degree

• Law Degree desirable.

Job description

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK

This is part-time position assisting and educating children in crossing the street in a safe manner. Employees work 2-hour split shifts in the morning and afternoon, Monday through Friday, for a total of 20 hours per week during the time school is in regular session. Some schools may require work assignments during the summer months. Employee must be dependable in their attendance, regardless of weather conditions. This is routine work effecting safety procedures at school crossing locations.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Employees Are Responsible For, But Not Limited To

• Guiding children across the street at designated school crossings according to predetermined schedules;

• Placing and removing safety signs in school zones;

• Reporting hazards and operational problems;

• Communicating traffic and crossing rules and other information to children and adults;

• Attending meetings as required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Employees must have the ability to communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously;

• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to see, hear and respond quickly to children in the performance of their duties;

• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language;

• Possess knowledge of the method of crossing streets in the safe manner and overall sense of responsibility for the safety of students;

• Specific vision ability required by the job include distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus;

• The typical work environment is primarily outside and may be subjected to extremes of heat, cold, rain, humidity, wetness, and traffic hazard.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or resident.

• Must be able to work with children and work in a high vehicle traffic environment.

• Must possess a valid Florida Driver License.

• Once hired, must pass the Florida School Crossing Guard Training with a minimum score of 75%.
