About the role
MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team as a Part Time Reliever across Monash University sites located in the CBD. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the campus. You will be responsible for conducting foot patrols, securing buildings, and providing support to students, staff, and visitors.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Conducting foot patrols, ensuring people are safe and buildings are secure.
Escort individuals to and from various locations around the site as required.
Ensuring property is locked and unlocked as required.
Provide clear directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors to ensure they can navigate the campus efficiently.
Write reports in response to incidents or unusual activity, ensuring all information is documented.
Communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with staff, students, and visitors.
Ideal candidates will have:
Excellent communication skills.
Strong customer service skills and professional presentation.
Ability to walk up to 15-20km a day.
Availability to work every Wednesday and Friday.
Requirements:
Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
Full Australian working rights.
Valid Victorian Security licence.
Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
Valid Victorian Drivers licence with no restrictions.
