We are building a platform where users can interact, collaborate, and make collective decisions—starting with social matchups, feeds, notifications, and verified interactions.
We are preparing to scale to millions globally, and we need backend engineers who thrive on building systems that scale.
What You’ll Do
• Build, optimize, and maintain backend systems for high-throughput social applications.
• Design scalable, low-latency architectures for notifications, feeds, matchmaking, and user interactions.
• Work with Supabase/Firebase or similar BaaS systems, plus caching, queues, and real-time pipelines.
• Precompute and serve feeds, match suggestions, and notifications efficiently for millions of users.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to ensure seamless and performant user experiences.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in decision-making on tech stack, scaling strategies, and system design.
What We’re Looking For
• 3–8 years of experience in backend development, preferably in social or consumer apps.
• Hands-on experience with Supabase, Firebase, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or similar systems.
• Proven experience in scaling applications from thousands to millions of users.
• Strong understanding of real-time systems, caching, queues, and database optimization.
• Comfortable with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an early-stage, fast-moving startup.
• Passion for building products that impact millions of users globally.
Bonus Points
• Experience with feeds, matchmaking systems, social graphs, or recommendation engines.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, horizontal scaling, and microservices.
