The Client

Urgent opening with one of our clients, a leading Tier 1 & 2 law firm in India, for a Partner role in their Litigation team based in Bengaluru. The firm is renowned for handling complex, high-stakes litigation and arbitration matters across diverse should have 12+ years of post-qualification experience in high-end commercial litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.

Core Practice Areas

Commercial Litigation:
• Representing and advising domestic and international clients in commercial disputes across sectors such as corporate, banking, finance, real estate, and infrastructure.
• Handling injunctions, interlocutory applications, civil suits, and appeals before various judicial forums including High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.

Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution
• Advising and representing clients in domestic and international arbitration proceedings under various institutional rules (e.g., ICC, SIAC, LCIA). Drafting arbitration pleadings, witness statements, and submissions; assisting in enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards.
Regulatory & White-Collar Crime
• Advising clients on regulatory compliance, representation before tribunals, and handling investigations related to white-collar criminal matters, anti-corruption, and sanctions.

Due Diligence & Advisory
• Conducting legal due diligence for transactional and litigation risk assessment purposes. Providing opinions on dispute resolution clauses, litigation exposure, and enforcement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead major litigation and arbitration matters, strategizing and managing teams to deliver excellent client outcomes. Develop and maintain strong client relationships with corporates, financial institutions, and government entities. Mentor and train junior lawyers to strengthen the firm's litigation capabilities. Collaborate with cross-practice teams on multi-jurisdictional disputes and compliance issues. Drive business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the litigation practice.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelors degree in law (LL.B.) and enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
• Minimum 12+ years of post-qualification experience predominantly in litigation/arbitration with a track record of handling complex matters. Exceptional advocacy and drafting skills with proven experience appearing before superior courts and arbitral tribunals. In-depth knowledge of procedural laws, civil, commercial, corporate, and criminal laws relevant to litigation. Strong client management, leadership, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a high-pressure environment.
