Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform fitment of components to bulk fluid tankers and tanker sub-frames
Possess the ability to fabricate/assemble intricate components
Demonstrate competency in the use of workshop plant
Demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
Work within the perimeters of Workplace Health and Safety legislation
Wear appropriate PPE when required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work is carried out in a modern, neat workshop
Some work is carried out in confined spaces
Some work is conducted outside
Some work involves working at heights
Sometimes work is conducted in extreme heat
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be physically fit
Ability to work on and under bulk fluid tankers and sub-frames
Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
Ability to climb ladders and work on top of bulk fluid tankers
Ability to use hand tools for long periods of time- e.g. Swing a hammer
Ability to use percussion tools
Perform repetitive tasks
Lift objects using correct manual handling techniques on a regular basis
