Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pastry Chef at The Vintage Bakehouse located in Mumbai. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of baked goods, including artisnal breads and pastry. They will collaborate with the bakery team to develop new recipes, ensure consistent quality and presentation, and meet customer demands. The Pastry Chef will also maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and manage inventory and supplies.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
• Knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
• Ability to create and decorate visually appealing pastries
• Attention to detail and creativity in presenting desserts
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Certification from a culinary school or relevant pastry training is a plus
• Experience in a high-volume bakery or restaurant is a plus
