Full job description
Le Beau is looking for a Pastry Cook to help create our signature croissants and baked goods for our customers.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a schedule of Wednesday to Sunday. Full availability is required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Main responsibilities:

Follow recipes accurately, measuring and weighing all ingredients precisely.
Prepare fillings, creams, and other components for baked goods.
Assemble a variety of products, including sandwiches and laminated dough items.
Bake cookies and assist with chocolate production, following recipes and standards.
Bake a range of items at correct temperatures to achieve proper texture, flavor, and appearance.
Decorate and present baked goods in an attractive way.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and taste standards.
Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
Maintain a clean, organized work area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Operate and maintain bakery equipment, keeping tools clean and in good condition.
Work closely with the team to meet production needs and ensure smooth operations.
Prepare special orders or large batches for events or wholesale customers as required.
Handle and store ingredients properly, ensuring recipe accuracy through precise measurement and weighing.
Requirements:

Must have at minimum of 2-years of experience working as a pastry cook, baker or related field.
Must have demonstrated experience in regard to baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets and pies.
College diploma or certification in baking and pastry arts and/or Red Seal or equivalent certification is considered to be an asset.
Must be a team player and have the proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-pace environment.
Able to lift up to 25KG of equipment and ingredients.
Good to have relevant experience related to French pastry making.

Our Chef trained in France and worked at a renowned patisserie in Paris. She values the highest quality ingredients, craftsmanship, simplicity and tradition in everything she creates.
