About Deane House
Built in 1+06 for Captain Richard Deane, the Deane House is a historic landmark in Calgary's trendy neighbourhood Inglewood. With a focus on seasonal and regional cuisine, the culinary team takes guests on an adventure through our culinary past and present. Sustainability and environmental mindfulness is top priority, carrying on a tradition of respect for product, our partners and the stories they tell.
Deane House is a full service, à la carte fine dining restaurant, open 6 days a week, with brunch offered on weekends. An 80 seat restaurant with a library and bar upstairs for private events, and a garden patio sitting up to +0 guests; an ideal space for weddings and other special occasions. We will strive to host our guests with impeccable tailored service, thoughtful detail, and genuine care.

Summary of Key Competencies
This is a multi-faceted position requiring a high level of culinary skills and kitchen knowledge. Your enthusiasm, product knowledge and ability to communicate with both staff and guests is essential to creating an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
The proper execution of dishes to the exact standards as shown and set by Executive Chef and Pastry Chef.
Inform Pastry Chef or Executive Chef of ingredients needed for ordering.
Ensure that consistency in all production is to our quality standards.
Work cooperatively with Executive Chef and Pastry Chef on all matters of the kitchen.
Provide exceptional food to all our guests and staff.
Maintain accountability for the kitchen and employees and assist staff whenever necessary
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidence in the kitchen
Regular cleaning of all areas of the pastry kitchen, on a daily and weekly basis
Comply with all AHS and Occupational Health and Safety protocols
Education and Experience
CRHA “Safe Food” certification (or equivalent), to be updated every 2 years.
Excellent technical knowledge of contemporary baking and pastry styles.
Excellent baking and pastry cooking techniques.
Proven interpersonal skills.
Excellent ingredient knowledge.
A positive and professional attitude.
Able to work in an open kitchen.
