Job Description
We are seeking a Pastry Cook responsible for preparing desserts and baked goods.
Key Duties:
Preparing, baking, and finishing pastries, desserts, and baked products
Decorating and presenting products to a high standard
Monitoring ingredient quality and ensuring consistency in production
Regulating oven temperatures and baking conditions
Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
Storing ingredients and finished products appropriately
Assisting with development of dessert menus
Ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen
Minimum Requirements:
At least 2 years’ relevant experience as a Pastry Cook, OR
A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification in baking/patisserie (or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail and presentation
Knowledge of food safety practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
