About the role
Davies Collison Cave is now recruiting for a patent attorney with experience in the field of engineering to join our Brisbane office.
Your day to day work will involve all aspects of private patent attorney practices, including liaising with inventors and corporate clients, drafting patent specifications, conducting searches, providing patentability, patent infringement, patent validity opinions, and prosecuting patent applications. You prepare, prosecute, analyse and provide opinions on patent applications relating to inventions in engineering.
About You
A Bachelor's degree (with Honours) in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics engineering, mining engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent.
Current registration as an Australian Patent Attorney and ideally a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience post registration.
An excellent communicator with a strong command of written and verbal English.
Are able to understand, critically analyse information and think laterally.
Are well organised and self motivated.
Committed to providing clients with quality advice and service.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Commitment to and interest in business development.
