Job Description
Responsible for corporate payments and settlements maintenance, balancing, and processing, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing clearing, Central 1 accounts, ATM/POS, related electronic files and reports from Central 1, rejected items, vouchers, suspense accounts, CRA payments and other negotiable instruments, and the general ledger system.
Prepares and posts accounts payable as required.
Ensures timely processing of payment trace requests and rejected items, while keeping members informed of results.
Processes the daily overdraft report by reporting overdrafts for authorization and returning items that create an unauthorized overdraft within predetermined time limits.
Assists with ad hoc Payments and Finance projects to support management.
Demonstrates a strong level of risk management knowledge and ensures adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as security and privacy policies and procedures.
Positively and confidently responds to member requests and inquiries.
Supports staff and encourages collaboration to accomplish common goals.

Qualifications
Secondary School Diploma
2–5 years of experience in general accounting or clearing
A combination of relevant experience and post-secondary education directly related to the industry will be considered
The salary range for this position is $45,526 - $56,908.
