We’re looking for a Payroll & Benefits Advisor to join our team. If you’ve got experience running weekly payrolls, managing employee benefits, and navigating UK payroll rules with confidence, we’d like to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

Running weekly payroll, including timesheets, overtime, and deductions

Managing employee benefits such as pension auto-enrolment, childcare vouchers, and perks

Making sure we stay compliant with tax and NIC requirements

Submitting FPS/EPS, pension returns, and other statutory reports

Dealing with payroll queries from employees, finance, and external bodies

Coordinating year-end tasks like P60s, P11Ds, and reconciliations

Keeping payroll data and documentation accurate, secure, and GDPR-compliant

Working closely with HR and Finance on audits, salary reviews, and policy updates

Staying current on UK payroll legislation and sharing best practices

What we’re looking for:

Solid UK payroll experience, including hands-on weekly payroll processing

Familiarity with payroll systems (ideally SD Worx) and confident use of Excel

Strong understanding of employment tax, NIC, pensions, and employee benefits

A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential info

Clear and professional communication skills—comfortable working with teams across the business

Someone proactive who can spot opportunities to improve how things are done

It’s a plus if you have:

CIPP (Technician or Diploma) or a similar payroll qualification

AAT Level 2–3, CIPD, or other finance or HR training

Salary: Dependent on experience

Pension: Employee contribution 2.5% and employer 5.5%

Holidays: 35 days (including bank holidays)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, with the choice of either; 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm shift pattern
