Immediate start

6 month contract

We are looking for an experienced Payroll individual to join our client’s team supporting the payroll manager while they focus on the implementation of a new project. You will be responsible for processing fortnightly payroll for up to 650 employees.

Core responsibilities will include:

Processing the payroll and managing leave

Completing payroll journals for financial reporting accurately, ensuring all data represent actual events

Ensuring all employee payroll data is loaded correctly, updated and maintained

Ensuring the payroll system, processes and procedures meet all regulatory compliance

Processing PAYE returns

Supporting HR Administration

Skills required for this role include:

Previous working knowledge of payroll and NZ payroll experience

Knowledge and interest of payroll related legislation

Strong data entry skills

Intermediate – Advanced MS Excel skills

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

High level of confidentiality

Excellent computer literacy, with advanced competency in the MS Office Suite

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work both on your own and in a team environment. Previous experience using PSE payroll would advantageous, however is not essential.
