Job Title: Payroll Officer
Flexible hybrid contract role - 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH

12-month full-time contract, providing critical operational support
The Role:
As a Payroll professional, you will support the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and Single Touch Payroll.
Working closely with the Weekly Payroll Lead and the wider payroll team, this is a hybrid role based in Reservoir, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payrolls for allocated business units, including new starters, employee updates and payroll corrections
Administer payroll systems including SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors, and Kronos (time and attendance)
Support payroll processing for approximately 4,000 employees across multiple pay cycles
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and provide payroll reporting to the business
Assist with ad‑hoc duties and provide support to the Payroll Team Lead as required
What you will bring to the team:
Proven experience working in a medium to large payroll environment, supporting end‑to‑end payroll processes
Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance, with the ability to interpret awards, EBAs, and legislative requirements, and quickly learn Visy payroll policies and procedures
Strong customer service mindset, with clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines in a high‑volume payroll environment
Experience working with payroll and HR systems, including: SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors, Spinifex reporting (or similar payroll reporting tools)
