We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Officer to join our small but dedicated Payroll team, based in Clayton.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent part-time position working onsite four days a week. Days and hours can be flexible, around the payroll processing days. You’ll support the end-to-end payroll function, playing a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive experience for our people. If you're detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in payroll processing, this could be the perfect part-time role for you.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the timely and accurate end to end processing, of the fortnightly payroll for 550+ employees, in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and awards
Following up on timesheet approvals, termination paperwork, and masterfile data changes
Reviewing, writing, and updating payroll procedures to ensure best practices and compliance
Attending Gold Report meetings, ensuring all Servicelink employees have up-to-date hours and leave recorded
Providing Dayforce training to new and current employees
Providing outstanding customer service by way of emails and phone queries on various payroll matters
Assisting with payroll reporting and other ad-hoc payroll tasks as required
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Payroll Officer with a strong sense of accountability and a continuous improvement mindset. You enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering an accurate, reliable, and trusted payroll function.
Skills & Experience:
Previous payroll experience in a similar role, within an automated payroll environment (e.g. Dayforce, Aurion, ADP)
End-to-end payroll processing experience, including award interpretation and timesheet management
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Confidence communicating with employees and leaders at all levels
Experience with Dayforce (preferred)
