We are looking for an talented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic Group and become part of the next step in our exciting journey ahead.
The Role
The Payroll Officer coordinates and prioritises project tasks, manages timelines, maintains project plans and communicates status to senior management and clients as needed.
Some Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform end-to-end payroll management for EPG clients, adhering to legislation.
Ensure timely processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs, as well as handling terminations, redundancy, bonuses, and commission calculations.
Meet service level agreements by processing payroll and managing client accounts according to documented procedures and EPG's operational framework.
Assist in reviewing and updating service delivery policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
Handle Superannuation and other pension scheme processing for clients.
Administer salary or statutory payment bank files for clients as agreed upon by EPG.
Support ancillary services for managed payroll clients, including Payroll Tax, Consultancy, and Audits.
Aid in end-of-financial-year processing for clients.
Escalate technical support requests to designated contacts for third-party vendors.
Provide support to other members of the payroll operations team as needed to meet service obligations.
Deliver exceptional customer experience through accurate and responsive payroll advisory.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalations, collaborating with team members for corrective actions and process improvements.
Recommend and participate in process improvement projects for clients to enhance service delivery.
Assist in transitioning 'managed payroll only' clients to an enhanced model with HR technology.
Develop professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and industry associations.
Stay updated on industry developments and legislative changes affecting EPG.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Understanding of all things Payroll related
Highly knowledgeable with ATO legislation as it pertains to payroll including superannuation, PAYG and state based payroll tax
Understanding of the Fair Work system
Ability to work within a Hybrid environment 3 days in office/2 days WFH
Confidence with using a variety of technologies and tools
Minimum 3 years experience in payroll processing
Strong using payroll software
