About the role
We’re looking for a confident and proactive People and Culture Business Partner to join our team at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). This is more than a BAU role, you’ll be embedded with leaders across key client groups, shaping real outcomes that build capability, drive performance and support meaningful culture change.
You’ll work closely with our People & Culture Centre of Excellence to roll out initiatives across the full employee lifecycle. Whether it's coaching leaders, advising on complex people matters, or driving change programs, you'll be a critical force behind our culture and people strategy. This role will require some travel and offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to balance flexibility with in-office collaboration as well as the chance to genuinely influence people leadership in a fast-moving, national regulator.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Building strong partnerships with leaders to deliver tailored, business-aligned HR support
Translating strategy into people outcomes through coaching, data and insight
Supporting performance, workforce planning, ER matters and people projects
Building and updating policies and processes to keep pace with our growing organisation
Leading organisational change and capability uplift across client groups
Delivering internal training and guidance to lift leadership capability
About You
You will have:
A degree in HR, ER/IR, business or related field
5+ years of generalist HR experience, ideally in complex or customer-focused environments
Sound commercial acumen with a passion for practical, people-first solutions
Strong influencing skills and the ability to coach at all levels
Confidence working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
