Job description
Role & Responsibilities:
Design Development: Conceptualize and develop designs for Western wear and High Fashion, aligning with the buyer's aesthetic and target market.
Trend Research: Stay updated with the latest fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and silhouettes relevant to Western fashion.
Sketching and Illustration: Create sketches and illustrations of design ideas using digital tools or traditional methods.
Fabric and Material Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for each design, considering quality, cost, and market trends.
Sample Development: Oversee the creation of samples to ensure the design vision is effectively translated.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure designs are executed accurately and within deadlines.
The ideal candidate is a creative team player who can think strategically and guide the creation process from inception to sample development. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Expertise in Fashion Design: Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in Western wear & High Fashion.
Previous Job Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in the High Fashion Ladies wear segment.
Creativity and Innovation: Ability to generate original design concepts and adapt to evolving fashion trends.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in every aspect of design and production.
