Job Description
St. Luke's School is hiring for the 2026-2026 school year. We are looking for a teacher to implement classes in Music, PE, and provide support as a para educator. This is a full-time position with all benefits, but we are also open to a flexible configuration or job sharing for the three assignments.
Music: In the role as a music teacher you will implement the curriculum for students in grades K-5th, three times a week. We have the Quaver Music Program which provides lesson plans, digital support, and many resources. You will be expected to engage with students and develop their abilities in rhythm, melody, pitch, tempo, vocalization and playing musical instruments (such as bells, drums, recorders, and xylophones). You will prepare students to sing hymns at a weekly liturgical service. You will also be required to lead rehearsals in preparation for the school's annual musical performance.
Physical Education: In the role as a P.E. teacher you will ensure the skills addressed in the Nebraska State Physical Education Standards are provided daily for K-5th grade. We have the Quaver PE and Health Curriculum available to guide and direct lessons with digital support and resources. You will instruct and engage students in the knowledge and skills of physical fitness, rhythms and dance, health education, individual, dual, and team sports. You will also be required to plan and implement a biennial PE Program at the end of the school year.
Para Educator: In the role as a Paraprofessional, you will assist and support staff in an educationsl environment. You will work with the classroom teachers to give hands-on support by working with children in small groups or individually. You will also complete tasks such as lunch count, assisting with special events, providing recess or lunch duties, and taking phone messages.
