Administer First Aid Treatment or Life Support Care to Sick or Injured Persons in Prehospital Settings as Authorized or as Directed By Physician
- Assess Nature Plus Extent of Illness or Injury to Establish Prioritize Medical Procedures to Be Followed or Need for Additional Assistance
- Administer Initial Treatment At Emergency Scene as per Protocol as Well as Records Patients Vital Signs
- Perform Emergency Treatment Procedures, like Basic Airway Management, Suction, Using Bag Valve Mask, Cpr, Using External Defibrillator (aed), Spinal Immobilization Using Smr Devices, Splinting & Bandaging During Ambulance Ride
- Able to Operate Devices as Defibrillator, Syringe/infusion Pump, Transport Ventilator Administer Drugs, Orally or By Injection, or Perform Intravenous Procedures Under a Physician's Dispatcher
- Drive Emergency Ambulance Care Unit to Specified Location, Following Instructions from Emergency Medical Dispatcher
- Assist & Transports Sick/injured Persons to Treatment Center/hospital as per Protocol, Observe, Records, and also Reports to Physician Patients Condition, Reaction to Drugs, Treatments, and also Significant Incidents
- Communicate with Dispatchers or Treatment Center Personnel to Provide Information About Situation, to Arrange Reception of Victims, or to Receive Instructions for Further Treatment
- Decontaminate Ambulance Interior Following Treatment of Patient with Infectious Disease, Report Case to Proper Authorities
- Maintain Vehicles and Medical and Communication Equipment, Replenish (pre Hospital) Equipment Supplies By Raising Timely Indent Roles and Responsibilities.

Weare seeking a Full Time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passionfor primary care to join our client s busy team. You will work incollaboration with patients families and other health careproviders in the provision of highquality patientcentered care. Theideal candidate for this role will have a strong clinicalbackground and will practice to full scope of practice. This is aninperson role and as such requires the NP to be present in theoffice.
Daytodayresponsibilitiesinclude:
• Provideexceptional safe high quality and evidenceinformed preventativeprimary care through assessment ordering diagnostic testsperforming procedures prescribing pharmacological andnonpharmacological therapies and initiating specialistreferrals
• Provide regular patient follow up topromote health and educate on disease prevention andmanagement
• Collaborate with other nursepractitioners registered nurses physicians and the allied healthteam members to foster a teambased interdisciplinaryapproach
• Practice to full scope by assessingdiagnosing and treating episodic and chronic conditions whilesupporting patients through the healthcarejourney
• Contribute to care plans determiningthe cadence of clinically appropriate assessments within the teamto meet individual needs of patients
• Makeinternal and external referrals asappropriate
Whatyou musthave:
• Masters ofNursing Pediatric Nurse Practitionerdegree (MNNP) or equivalent postMaster s diplomaNurse Practitioner (PMD)
• Current registrationas a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the British ColumbiaCollege or Nurses and Midwives(BCCNM)
• Successful completion of the OSCE(Objective Structured ClinicalExamination)
• Active unrestricted provinciallicense(s) with required prescribing and/or labnumbers
• Active CPR AED Level Ccertification
• Knowledge and experience inprimary care 5 years of experience(preferred)
• Experience in chronic diseaseprevention and management(preferred)
• Additional training in primary careprocedures relevant to practice is anasset
• Ability to take initiative anddemonstrate proactive/preventativecare
• Exceptional organizational skills with apositive and resultsfocused attitude
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectivelywith team members andpatients
