Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.

The People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) provides high-quality, professional and responsive People & Culture advice and support across PYMHWS, partnering closely with leaders to deliver effective people management outcomes.

About the Role:

The P&C Business Partner delivers both day-to-day HR and Employee Relations support and strategic people partnering, providing advice across a broad range of People & Culture strategies, programs, policies and practices. Working in close partnership with service leaders, the P&CBP supports and develops leadership capability, identifies workforce and capability gaps, and delivers contemporary, best-practice people solutions aligned to organisational priorities and industrial obligations.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives, leadership capability building and change initiatives, supporting leaders and teams to navigate complexity and deliver high-quality services.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Business Partnering & Leadership Support: Provide timely, practical advice on day-to-day HR and IR matters, including performance management, conduct, grievances, disciplinary processes and complaints.
Employee Relations, Industrial & Case Management: Manage and coordinate complex employee relations matters, including investigations, mediation, disciplinary processes and performance improvement plans. Support Enterprise Agreement implementation, interpretation and education for leaders and staff.
Learning, Development & Capability Building: Lead the design, coordination and delivery of learning and development initiatives. Facilitate workshops, training sessions and presentations for leaders and teams.
Workforce Planning, Change & Organisational Development : Support significant organisational change initiatives, including restructures and service transitions. Lead or support the development of Change Impact Statements and consultation processes.
About You:

An experienced People & Culture Business Partner with a passion for best practice.

✔️ Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.

✔️ Significant experience in a HR Business Partner or senior advisory role, preferably within a health or complex service environment.

✔️ Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations and industrial matters.

✔️ Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Industrial instruments and best practice HR frameworks.
