Right now, we're on an exhilarating transformation journey, reimagining how we can deliver a more modern and secure banking experience that suits how people live today, and in the future.
It's an exciting time, and as part of this we're growing our team and investing in new capabilities to help share the future of banking in New Zealand.
If you're passionate about making an impact and being part of something meaningful, we'd love to hear from you. At SBS, we truly believe that when people achieve their financial goals, their whānau and communities flourish as a result.
To help us with this, we are searching for a Fixed Term (12 month) People & Capability Co-Ordinator to join our team
In this hands-on role, you’ll be right at the heart of the employee lifecycle, supporting everything from onboarding and payroll to compliance, data integrity, and daily HR operations. You’ll partner closely with the People & Capability team, Finance, and a variety of stakeholders to ensure our people processes run smoothly, compliantly, and always with the highest standards of service and confidentiality.
This role is a fantastic fit for a recent graduate or someone with experience in the People & Capability space to immerse themselves in a vibrant, supportive team. With a strong focus on learning and development, and the benefit of working from our Invercargill-based head office, you'll have plenty of opportunity to expand your skills and grow professionally.
Here's a bit of what you'll be busy with:
End-to-end payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of wages and salaries in line with legislation and SBS policy
Responding to People & Capability queries in a professional and timely manner
Maintaining accurate People & Capability and payroll data across HR systems
Supporting onboarding, role changes and offboarding processes
Providing recruitment administration support, including employment agreements and documentation
Supporting compliance requirements, including AML/CFT and statutory reporting
Contributing to continuous improvement of People & Capability processes and service
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
A sound understanding of confidentiality and privacy obligations
Fantastic agility, multitasking and time management skills
A collaborative, service-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
Relevant payroll or HR qualifications (or progress towards these) will be well regarded.
This role is a full time, fixed term (12 month) opportunity.
