People Operations Coordinator

What the job involves

We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Team on a fixed term basis to play a vital role in providing exceptional HR support to our colleagues.

Working collaboratively with the wider People and Culture team to provide a customer focussed delivery, you’ll take ownership for all transactional processes relating to the entire employee journey, including onboarding, variations to existing terms and leavers.

Acting as a first line point of contact and provide advice on terms and conditions, employee benefits, HRIS systems, policies, and pay, staying up to date on legislative changes. You'll also be responsible for monitoring and renewing mandatory documents like visas, DBS, and NMC renewals (where required). You’ll support the process of absence management, probation, exit interviews and employee relations cases. Assisting with the monthly payroll process, you’ll update HRIS with changes impacting on payroll, as required.

Additionally, you'll manage the HR inbox, responding to queries or directing them to appropriate colleagues. You'll maintain accurate employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.

You’ll be joining a small but busy People Operations Team in a hands-on role which focusses on providing a first-class administration and HR information service to all stakeholders. You’ll get to work with a wide range of colleagues across the Chairity and get to see firsthand the work carried out to create a world where no man dies from prostate cancer.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a people orientated, self-motivated and hands on professional, who is experienced in providing excellent operational services within a busy HR/People team. You’ll be CIPD Level 3 qualified or committed to qualifying with experience in providing excellent operations services in a busy HR/People Team.

You’ll have strong interpersonal skills and integrity, be able to communicate well with others and quickly build credibility. It’s a given that you’ll understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion when working in a trusted role with access to highly sensitive information and effectively managing a busy and varied workload won’t be anything new to you. You’ll be able to work flexibly and responsively in a fast paced and demanding environment exercising good judgment and using own initiative. You'll be a great team player and will do what’s needed to help my colleagues. As a small team we’re very supportive of each other.

With flexible digital skills, you’ll be comfortable using multiple platforms including Microsoft applications, and HRIS’ (we use CIPHR). You’ll also have a good understanding of the principles and requirements of GDPR and how they relate to communicating, storing, and processing employee data.
