Job Description
We are looking for a PeopleSoft Administrator with 5 plus years’ experience. He will help to provide ongoing production maintenance and support as well as assist with PeopleTools upgrades. This position will work closely work with the Project Manager, PeopleSoft administrators, Linux admins, database administrators, developers, business analysts, testing team and end users. This person will work with various teams, but also will need to have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and have strong organization, communication and documentation skills.
Key responsibilities include: -
• Complete understanding of PeopleSoft architecture including PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA), tuxedo application servers, process schedulers and databases
• Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain PeopleSoft Internet Architecture components including App Servers, Process Schedulers, and Web logic Servers.
• Plan and manage the installation of application patches, tax updates and maintenance releases on development, test, QA and production environments.
• Should have adequate knowledge on Database Refresh/clone, RMAN backup/recovery and Performance tuning
• Proactively plan for future capacity requirements by calculating growth of the application in the areas of database size, number of end-users and application functionality.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Identify and participate in application architecture solutions for improving the reliability, performance and availability of the systems.
• Interact with analysts and user community to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems. Prepare and deliver recommendations to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical administration and migration support for various PeopleSoft environments. - Ensure application change control and migration strategy policies are followed.
• Be available on an on-call basis for system and application problems. Respond to problem tickets within service level agreement timeframes
• Manage systems for high availability, and satisfactory response time.
• Hands-on working knowledge of PeopleSoft Change Assistant, Application Designer, Data Mover, Integration Broker, and Application Engine
• SQL Server or Oracle Database certification is a plus
• Ability to work simultaneously across multiple clients with multiple versions of PeopleSoft applications and PeopleTools versions including older through the most current release
• Expected to work in night shifts and weekend shift to support project activities
