About the Role
SmartHelio is aggressively operating in the global clean-tech market and providing advanced Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to energy companies (mostly solar utilities). Currently, we are engaged with some of the top global clean energy companies. The incumbent will be analyzing solar PV systems' performance, helping in the development of fault detecting algorithms and managing customers (mostly European and American). The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Performance Engineer’s role:
• Lead the operational activities related to the PV site performance analysis.
• Work with data scientists who are developing fault detection algorithms.
• Manage weekly deliverables to the client.
• Prepare weekly performance impact analysis for each PV site.
• Conduct monthly performance review meeting with clients.
• Remotely manage clients’ on-site staff during maintenance activities, as and when required.
• Build mechanisms to provide more value to the customer.
• Provide customer service.
What you will need
Education Background - A degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or Renewables), or in any other relevant field. Additional requirements are as follows -
• MUST: 4-8 years of on-site experience in operations and maintenance C&I and/or utility scale PV plants in the capacity of a Plant Engineer, O&M Engineer, Performance engineer or similar profiles.
• MUST: In-depth understanding and experience in handling day-to-day issues related to plant management and operations & maintenance.
• MUST: Proven experience in handling ground staff and effectively mobilizing them
• Sound technical understanding of the entire solar/renewable value chain: financing, pre-install, installation, post-install mechanisms, etc.
• Ability to understand high-level data analytics algorithms
• Expert in verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in collaboration tools and documentation tools such as MS Office, Google Docs, etc.
