Job Description
As an Applications & Systems Performance QA Engineer, you will be part of a motivated engineering team. You will be working on the Qualys’ "Next-generation Platform & Middleware". Working with a team of engineers and architects, you will be responsible for prototyping, designing, developing tools to benchmark middleware and platform. This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a team building Qualys’ next generation Micro-Services based technology platform processing over a 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day, leverage open source technologies, and work on challenging and business-impacting projects.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with performance testing and bench-marking in a QA and/or application development environment.
• Experience with developing performance frameworks for web-based applications (SaaS experience preferred).
• Strong experience with performance testing tools (JMeter experience desired)
• Java Performance profiling experience
• Strong Application and Database debugging experience
• Detailed knowledge of relational databases or better yet, NoSQL technologies
• Strong experience with performance and stress testing in a Linux environment
• Must be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written skills
Additional Competencies
• Java programming a huge plus
• Performance testing in microservices distributed environment
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux internals
• TCP/IP and network knowledge and troubleshooting
