Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our team. The Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting performance testing on software applications and systems to ensure they can handle expected user load and meet performance standards. The ideal candidate should have experience with performance testing tools, be familiar with industry standard performance metrics, and have the ability to analyze and report on test results.
Key Responsibilities : • Develop and execute performance test plans and scenarios for applications and systems. • Analyze and identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvements. • Monitor system performance during load testing and identify any issues that arise. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure performance testing is integrated into the software development life cycle. • Create and maintain performance test scripts using performance testing tools. • Participate in code reviews to ensure performance best practices are followed. • Produce detailed reports on performance test results and provide recommendations for improvement. • Develop and maintain performance testing infrastructure. • Continuously improve performance testing processes and tools to enhance the performance testing process. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • 4+ years of experience in performance testing software applications and systems. • Strong experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent. • Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and industry standard performance metrics. • Experience in performance testing cloud-based systems and applications. • Experience with test automation and scripting languages such as Python, or equivalent. • Experience with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Preferred qualifications: • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools. • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with performance testing APIs and microservices
