About the Role: Mater Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Nurse Specialist. This role will involve providing high standards of service delivery, ensuring clinical practice is contemporary, individualised, safe, recovery-focused and evidence-based.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health care to mothers or primary carers.
Utilise mental health nursing clinical skills within an integrated framework for mothers affected by acute and complex perinatal mental illness.
Provide mental health nursing care that takes into consideration the infant and the parent/primary caregiver-infant relationship.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will have AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a current annual practicing certificate. Recent experience of working clinically as a nurse within an acute mental health inpatient unit is highly regarded. The successful applicant has or is willing to work towards specialist mental health nursing and/or perinatal and infant mental health qualifications.
