Job description
We're looking for an experienced Perl/Java Engineer to join our team!
This Role Is Onsite in Jersey City, NJ!
This role requires you to be onsite in Jersey City, NJ five (5) days per week. Come join us today! Please note that we do not offer visa sponsorship or transfers for this position and this is a contract position with a 3 to 6 month scope with a distinct possibility for a longer extension.

We're looking for an experienced Perl/Java Engineer to do modernization and migration work! This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact projects and work alongside top-tier engineers in a collaborative environment.
What You Bring:
• 5+ years of experience in Perl/CGI and Java development.
• Experience with disaster recovery (RTO, RPO), cloud computing (AWS preferred), and SQL.
• Knowledge of authentication standards and migrating web apps from HTTP to HTTPS.
• Strong systems design and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Knowledge of enterprise frameworks (Spring preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing expertise.
Bonus Points:
• Experience in credit card or financial services.
• Experience deploying multiple products in enterprise environments.
• Passion for mentoring and leading, while remaining hands-on with coding.
