About the Litigation Team Leader Lawyer role:

Sellick Partnership is currently working with a striving Local Authority in the East Midlands that are seeking a qualified Litigation Lawyer on a permanent basis.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to the job. This is a great opportunity to join a tightknit, friendly team.

Both full time and part time applicants will be considered, however full- time is preferred.

The successful Litigation Lawyer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Responsible for the provision of legal advice and representation in relation to litigation and regulatory work including possession claims, anti-social behaviour claims, disrepair claims, taxi licensing, premises licensing and environmental offences.
• Supervising and developing staff within the legal team, admin team and information governance team, including identifying training needs and development opportunitie
• To assist the Head of Legal and Support Services and Legal Services Team Manager on any other legal matters arising, as required.
• The role is predominantly remote working however the council host a number of team days and meetings where in-person attendance is a must alogn with court attendance as and when needed.

Experience required for the Litigaion Lawyer role:

Prospective candidates need to be a qualified solicitor, legal executive, or barrister and to have previous experience of Litigation Law, and Local Authority Law and hold a full UK driving licence.
