About Me
I am a 40-year-old man with an Acquired Brain Injury and Anxiety, and I am looking for friendly support workers who can help me work toward my NDIS goals. I love going to the beach to surf and swim and I’d like support to get there but you don’t need to come in the water with me. I enjoy hiking and would like someone who’s happy to support me in getting outdoors and staying active. I attend my local church and would like help to keep being involved in my community. I’m looking for Support Workers who are understanding, supportive and comfortable joining me in the activities I enjoy.
The Role
I am looking for a support worker who wants to be part of my supportive, team-based environment.
I need someone who can work 1:1 with me throughout the day in a respectful, person-centred way.
Painting is a very important creative outlet for me, so I’d love a support worker who is enthusiastic about supporting my art.
I am looking for a support worker who has a mature outlook who shares my interest in the beach and the arts would be a great fit.
I value kindness, patience and people who genuinely want to help me live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Key responsibilities:
Support me in a way that empowers me to reach my goals and live to my full potential
Contribute to a safe, comfortable and well-maintained home by assisting with household tasks
Help me build my life skills by following the plans and programs designed to support my growth
Engage with me using person-centred active support to promote choice, independence and meaningful involvement
Maintain accurate, professional records that reflect accountability and respect for my support needs.
Shifts
This role follows a predictable 4‑week rotating roster, blending day shifts, evening shifts, and passive overnight on‑call periods. This structure offers great work–life balance with several scheduled days off each week.
4‑Week Roster Snapshot
Day shifts : 09:00–17:00
Evening shifts : 17:00–23:00
Passive overnight on‑call : 23:00–07:00 (only on selected evenings)
Regular days off built into each week
You’ll receive the full roster in advance, and the pattern repeats every 4 weeks for easy planning.
About you:
I am looking for a mature and creative person to join my team. A good match for me would be someone who has an efficient and confident approach in what they do and possesses a calm and patient nature. I would also need someone that can respect my need for space.
What You Need to Get Started:
NDIS Worker Screening
Current Driver's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
Key Capabilities for Success:
Experience in working with people who have experience with behaviours of concern.
Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Flexible working hours
Experience in various models of support preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
