About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant (PA) to join our Commercial, Employment and Pensions team in Birmingham. As a PA you will provide fee earners with the administrative support needed to provide seamless legal services to clients.

Within this role you will be actively involved in managing and delivering your fee earners’ day‑to‑day workload, providing high‑quality and proactive administrative support throughout.

You will act as a workflow manager for other support services, delegating and overseeing tasks such as document production, file management and copying or scanning to ensure work is completed efficiently. You’ll also take a genuine interest in understanding client needs, building a thorough awareness of their requirements so you can consistently deliver an exceptional level of service to both fee earners and clients.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in a Personal Assistant or similar role, who can confidently demonstrate strong proficiency across Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and the wider systems used within the firm.

In this role, an excellent telephone manner is essential, along with the confidence to handle routine client queries independently when fee earners are unavailable.

To thrive, you’ll bring exceptional communication and organisational skills, work collaboratively as part of a team, and show real attention to detail in everything you do. In addition, you will bring a flexible, proactive and dependable approach, staying calm under pressure while managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities, whilst also feel confident taking the initiative and playing an active role in keeping the team running smoothly.

What We Can Offer You:

The opportunity to work for a firm that has been recognised as one of best places to work in the UK and has been ranked by Great Place to Work® for 26 consecutive years.

Excellent benefits, including:

A hybrid approach to office and remote working.
25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave
Private medical insurance, and the option to add family members
A generous pension allowance
Life assurance covering four times your annual salary
The chance of a three-month sabbatical every five years
Maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes
A range of health and wellbeing programmes
State of the art offices, with an onsite restaurant
Opportunities to flourish in your role through training and personal development
