Personal Care Assistants
Boneham Aged Care Services is a contemporary 90-bed Residential Aged Care Facility, located in Millicent in the Southeast of South Australia. Just 50 kilometres from Mount Gambier, a regional centre. Millicent is situated in the Limestone Coast region, approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. We are a community based; not-for-profit organisation managed by an elected Board of Governance comprising of community members.

The role
In this rewarding role you will work in a team environment where every day will be different. With your proactive attitude, you will be responsible for the delivery of contemporary clinical care to residents and supporting them to enjoy the life they choose.
We are seeking caring, compassionate and dedicated Personal Carers to fill full-time positions at Boneham; you must be available to work AM, PM and overnight shifts. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Support residents in accordance with individually assessed Care Plans, and in line with Aged Care Quality Standards, under the direction of qualified nursing staff.
Assisting residents with daily activities
Providing companionship and emotional support
Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' physical and mental well-being.
Collaborating with the team to develop and implement care plans.
· Act in a manner that supports the physical and psychological well-being of residents and colleagues
· Be aware of policy, procedure, and documentation within the facility relevant to the PCA role
· Comply with workplace procedures for identifying hazards and reporting incidents and participating in activities associated with management of workplace safety and welfare issues.
· Be aware of all requirements under the organisation’s Work Health and Safety policies and procedures with particular attention to manual handling practices and infection prevention and control.
· Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, where appropriate.
· Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, confidentiality in the workplace
· Attend to resident and administrative documentation on each shift.
· Attend to cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping duties as per duties list.
Skills and experience
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (preferred)
Permanent work rights in Australia
Demonstrated knowledge/ability in providing safe quality personal care to residents
Excellent time management skills
Strong communication skills including written
· Minimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facility
· Have excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude
· A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
The Requirements:
Genuine enthusiasm, care, compassion, and a commitment to delivering quality services to older people with a clear focus on resident dignity and choice
· Able to provide a NDIS clearance
· Availability to work AM/PM and night shifts
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A commitment to ongoing education
