The Role: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Personal Care Assistant provides assistance to clients with a range of activities of daily living that a person would do for themselves to enhance and encourage the client’s independence and quality of life.

Details of Appointment:
Casual, shift-worker position, working as and when required, commencing from October 2026 for a period of 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2026

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Holds, or working towards, Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Conviction checks in the following areas:
crimes of violence
sex related offences
serious drug offences
crimes involving dishonesty
Identification check
Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
