Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as home care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice care. This role requires a strong commitment to caregiving and the ability to handle physical demands associated with the job.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.

Help clients with mobility and physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in clients' living spaces.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to appropriate personnel.

Support individuals with disabilities by promoting independence and dignity in their daily activities.

Skills

Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or nursing homes is preferred.

Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.

Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.

Familiarity with hospice care principles is beneficial.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
