Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Accounts to teach senior secondary classes (Grades 11 & 12) under the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have strong subject expertise, the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts, and experience in preparing students for board examinations.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Accountancy to students of Grades 11 & 12 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to ensure conceptual clarity and application-based learning.
Guide students in project work and practical applications as prescribed by CBSE.
Prepare students for board exams through mock tests, revision sessions, and exam strategies.
Maintain accurate student performance records and share feedback with students and parents.
Integrate technology and real-world examples into classroom teaching.
Organise and participate in commerce-related events, workshops, and competitions.
Support and mentor students in career guidance related to commerce, finance, and accounting.
Collaborate with the Commerce Department to update teaching materials and curriculum plans.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in Commerce/Accountancy from a recognized university (mandatory).
B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching Accounts at the senior secondary level in a CBSE school.
Skills
Strong command over accounting concepts, problem-solving, and application-based teaching.
Effective classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and engage students.
Familiarity with CBSE examination patterns and evaluation guidelines.
Work Environment & Expectations
Conduct regular classes as per the timetable and additional sessions when needed.
Actively participate in PTMs, school events, and professional development programs.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere.
