A PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Art and Craft teacher designs and delivers advanced art curricula for high school students, fostering creativity, technical proficiency, and artistic appreciation. Key responsibilities include creating lesson plans, instructing in various media (painting, sculpture, sketching), evaluating portfolios, organizing exhibitions, and managing art supplies.
Key Responsibilities
• Curriculum Development: Designing and implementing age-appropriate art curricula, including art history, 2D/3D design, and techniques aligned with board guidelines.
• Instruction & Training: Teaching advanced drawing, painting, sculpting, and craft techniques, providing constructive feedback to enhance student skills.
• Student Assessment: Conducting assessments, evaluating artwork progress, and preparing student portfolios for exhibitions or competitions.
• Classroom Management: Ensuring a safe, organized, and creative environment for art production.
• Event Coordination: Organizing school art exhibitions, cultural events, and showcasing student work to build confidence.

• Educational Background: Master's degree in Fine Arts (M.A. Fine Arts/Visual Arts) or a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA/BA) with a B.Ed. or relevant certification.
• Teaching Certification: Often requires a passing certificate in teacher eligibility tests (e.g., HTET in Haryana).
• Experience: Usually 2–4 years of experience teaching art in a school setup.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of color theory, materials, and various art forms (charcoal, watercolor, sculpture).
• Competencies: Creativity, excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to inspire students.
Common Duties
• Conducting workshops and practical sessions for diverse art projects.
• Integrating cross-disciplinary projects to support academic learning.
• Maintaining records of student progress and participating in parent-teacher meetings.
• Integrating modern digital art tools and techniques into the curriculum.

Pay: ₹35,580.00 - ₹40,321.04 per month
