Job Description
Qualification and Experience: MCA/MSc (Computer Science)/BE (Computer Science & Engineering) with 2 to 3 years teaching experience in a PU College/CBSE School for Class 11 & 12.
Responsibilities:
Course Planning: Designing and planning the Computer Science curriculum for the PU College, including selecting appropriate textbooks, creating lesson plans, and developing assessments.
Classroom Instruction: Delivering engaging and effective lectures on Computer Science topics, utilizing a variety of teaching methods, tools, and technologies to facilitate student learning.
Student Assessment: Evaluating student performance through assessments such as exams, assignments, projects, and presentations, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding of Computer Science concepts.
Academic Support: Providing academic guidance and mentoring to students, including assisting with their academic and career goals, and addressing any academic concerns or challenges they may face.
Curriculum Development: Keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field of Computer Science, and updating the curriculum accordingly to ensure it remains relevant and aligned with industry standards.
Lab Management: Overseeing the computer lab facilities and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained, and coordinating with technical staff for any repairs or upgrades needed.
Student Engagement: Promoting student engagement and participation in Computer Science-related activities, such as coding competitions, hackathons, workshops, and seminars, to enhance their learning experience and foster their interest in the subject.
Research and Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions, and conducting research in the field of Computer Science to enhance your knowledge and expertise.
Administration: Participating in department meetings, faculty meetings, and other administrative duties as assigned by the college, such as maintaining attendance records, preparing reports, and contributing to curriculum committees.
Ethics and Professionalism: Upholding ethical standards in teaching, maintaining a professional and respectful relationship with students and colleagues, and adhering to the policies and procedures of the PU College/CBSE School.
Mentorship: Providing mentorship and guidance to students who are interested in pursuing further studies or careers in Computer Science, including writing recommendation letters, assisting with college applications, and providing guidance on career paths and opportunities in the field.
Collaborative Engagement: Collaborating with colleagues within the Computer Science department and other departments to promote interdisciplinary learning, develop joint research projects, and contribute to the overall academic environment of the college/school.
