Job Description
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) of Science is responsible for teaching science topics to students, and has many other duties, including:Lesson planning: Creating lesson plans and teaching science topics such as biology, chemistry, or physics Assessment: Setting assessment tasks, marking student work, and regularly conducting class assessments Student records: Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and personal management skills Communication: Communicating with students, parents, and staff Curriculum: Developing units of work for the subjects taught, according to the agreed curriculum Student support: Assessing and accommodating students" learning needs and styles Professional development: Investigating and applying developments in subject content and education initiatives Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues in their subject area and assisting the Head of Department in curriculum organization Student research
