Job Title: PGT Psychology Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced PGT Psychology Teacher to join our reputed CBSE school. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of teaching experience in Grade 11 & 12, along with a strong background in providing counseling services to students. The candidate should hold a Master's degree in Psychology and be passionate about teaching and counseling students. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to teach Psychology to Higher Secondary students and provide counseling services in the areas of Mental Health and Behavioral issues.
Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality classroom instruction in Psychology to Higher Secondary students (Grade 11 & 12) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Planning, preparing and delivering lesson plans, lectures, and engaging activities that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Assessing and evaluating student progress regularly, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student performance.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' academic and emotional growth.
Providing counseling services to students on mental health and behavioral issues, including academic, social, and emotional concerns.
Conducting individual and group counseling sessions, identifying and addressing students' needs, and providing appropriate interventions and referrals as needed.
Collaborating with parents, teachers, and school administrators to develop and implement strategies to support students' academic and emotional well-being.
Keeping up-to-date with developments in the field of Psychology and education, and continuously improving teaching and counseling skills through professional development opportunities.
Participating in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development sessions as required.
Contributing to curriculum development, program planning, and school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology from a recognized university.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Grade 11 & 12 in a reputed CBSE school.
Minimum 3 years of experience in providing counseling services to students, including mental health and behavioral counseling.
Excellent knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and educational standards.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic success.
Good organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons and counseling sessions.
Demonstrated ability to assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of current best practices in teaching, counseling, and student support services.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
