Position Summary
Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Evening and Weekend On-Call support Pharmacist will support our after hours emergency calls received. This includes receiving calls from nursing homes, supporting with clinical and operational activities, completing data entry and coordination with other team members as required. Other projects will be assigned as required.
This is a hybrid role that will require the pharmacist to spend part of their time onsite with the remainder of their day working remotely from home.
Compensation $48.00 - $58.00 per hour
The actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience for the role with CareRx.
SCHEDULE: Friday - Sunday (partial onsite support)

Your Day to Day
• Participating in phone support for nursing customers, support emergency requests / questions including computer entry, triage of new orders, clinical question management and supporting with logistical coordination questions.
• Supporting with data entry where required.
• Providing professional functions related to dispensing, including pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, professional opinions, liaising with other healthcare professionals, and documenting interventions and dialogue
• Assisting other team members with order clarification and acquiring verbal prescriptions as directed.
• Writing emergency medication supplies as required
Qualifications/Requirements
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists, expected to adhere to the Standards of Practice with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience preferred
• Experience in a Long-Term Care pharmacy environment is preferred.
• Experience with Kroll is a requirement.
• Experience with Kroll LTC modules is an asset. Experience with eMAR is an asset.
• Experience troubleshooting basic prescription and delivery questions an asset.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Permits/Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in British Columbia
• Computer-Kroll, patient care, and member service skills are required.

• 2 year(s): Pharmacist in a Canadian Province.
