Job Description
Duties
Work across, and collaborate with, various departments including the call centre, lab, and logistics to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient/client care.
Ensure adherence to provincial and federal regulations regarding the handling of pharmaceutical products, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Process, review, and verify prescriptions for accuracy, conduct clinical checks, and provide consultations as necessary to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Process, review, and verify compound orders from clients for accuracy, therapeutic appropriateness, and completeness.
Provide advice to partner pharmacists and staff on compound recommendations.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients to facilitate timely product delivery and ensure quality compounding.
Manage inventory levels of pharmaceutical products.
Partner with management to develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and the highest quality standards.
Collaborate with fellow pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to innovate, test, and refine compounding formulas, processes, and best practices.
Experience
Must be a Registered Pharmacist with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
Previous compounding experience is an asset (onsite training will be provided)
Proficiency with Kroll software
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and healthcare professionals
A commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance and staying up-to-date with industry standards
