Pharmacy Assistant – Data Entry (Senior Care & Group Homes)
We are a fast-growing healthcare startup focused on providing pharmacy services to group homes, assisted living, and senior care communities. Our team is building efficient, technology-driven systems to improve medication management and patient care across long-term care environments.
We are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant – Data Entry professional to join our team.
Responsibilities
Accurately enter and process prescriptions in pharmacy software systems
Manage medication profiles and patient records for long-term care residents
Work closely with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure timely prescription processing
Handle refill requests, prescription clarifications, and documentation updates
Support eMAR workflows and medication administration coordination
Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal quality standards
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of pharmacy assistant/data entry experience
Strong experience working in long-term care, group homes, or senior living pharmacy environments
Hands-on experience with eMAR systems, including: Pointclickcare, Mede-care
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage high prescription volumes efficiently
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting assisted living or residential care facilities
Knowledge of medication synchronization and blister pack workflows
Familiarity with pharmacy billing and third-party adjudication
